Is TodaysInvoice really free?

Yes, completely. No subscription, no trial period, no hidden upsell. You fill in the invoice, download the PDF, and that is it. There are no ads either — ever.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required. You can create, customise, and download an invoice without signing in or handing over an email address.

Where is my data stored?

Your invoice draft is saved locally in your browser using localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. This means your invoice is private to your device, and it also means that clearing your browser data will remove the saved draft.

What PDF format does TodaysInvoice produce?

The PDF is generated at US Letter size (8.5 × 11 in) through your browser's built-in print engine. This ensures the output is rendered exactly as you see it on screen, with no server-side conversion step.

Can I use my own logo?

Yes. Use the logo upload area in the invoice builder to add your business logo. It will appear in the top-left of the invoice and in the PDF.

Can I add a discount or shipping charge?

Yes. The totals section includes optional discount (%) and shipping fields. Leave them at zero if you do not need them.

What currencies are supported?

TodaysInvoice supports any currency. You can change the currency symbol in the invoice settings panel. The formatting follows the selected currency's conventions.

Can I add a watermark?

Yes. The options panel includes a watermark toggle. You can mark an invoice as DRAFT, PAID, SENT, VOID, or OVERDUE. The watermark appears both on screen and in the downloaded PDF.

What happens if my invoice runs over one page?

TodaysInvoice automatically paginates invoices that exceed the first page. Up to 15 line items fit per page. The totals and notes always appear together on the final page.

Is the invoice legally valid?

TodaysInvoice produces standard invoice documents that meet the requirements of most jurisdictions. You are responsible for including the specific fields your local tax authority requires (such as a VAT number if you are VAT-registered). We recommend consulting an accountant if you are unsure.
